Me sitting in a chair that used to be in Elvis' Coco Palms suite on Kaua'i. It was auctioned off after hurricane Eniki, and a clothes shop lady bought it. - January 4th, 2008

I have been an admirer of Elvis Presley since 1956 and a true fan since 1960. Between 1969 and 1975 I was privileged to see 36 of his concert performances in Las Vegas, Tahoe and on tour. As "Christine Hayes" (my birth name). I wrote articles and concert reviews for Rex Martin's Elvis publication in Great Britain as well as "Strictly Elvis" here in the United States.

After Elvis died, I established a friendship with Wanda June Hill, who, along with her family had been a friend of Elvis' for the last 15 years of his life. Both before and after Elvis' passing, I also became acquainted with other persons who knew Elvis personally.

It is from the sum experience of having watched and listened to him in person, and talked to those who knew him OUTSIDE the close circle of men who were constantly around him and monitoring him, that I have formed my opinions on Elvis as an exceptionally spiritual human being.

In 2004 I moved to Hawai'i. I now live on Kaua'i. Elvis is still very much loved in these Islands, especially by native Hawaiians.
